Matt had left about ten minutes ago, and Bonnie had just found the strength to lift herself up off of her kitchen floor. Despite pleading with Chuck to stay away, he was coming home—and he would see what had just happened to her. Feeling embarrassed, angry, terrified,…

She heard him call out for her, and her heart sank. Covering her hand with her mouth, Bonnie cried, trying to be quiet. God—what would he do, what would he say when he saw her face? She wished she was invisible. Bonnie kept replaying the moment over and over again in her head, trying to figure out if she could have done something else that could have prevented it.

As of now, she felt like she deserved what had happened. Something about Matt just made her feel like half of a person—that was part of the reason why she loathed him as much as she did. He was a monster, disguised by charm and handsome face.

Chuck was different though—he always had been. It was her biggest mistake turning her back on him all those years ago.

Timidly, she flipped the bathroom light off, looking down at her feet as she slowly walked out, through the hallway, into the living room, moving her fingers through her hair, slowly lifting her head, looking at him, tears streaming down her face.

Mere: Who did?? Not Chuck???

Bonnie: Matt…

Mere: What? Bonnie! Did you call the police?

Bonnie: No. No! Why would I call the police?!

Mere: Because that’s domestic violence and its illegal! Are you okay? Do you need to see a doctor?

Bonnie: He’s never done it before, and it’s not a big deal. I don’t know. My eye is swollen and so is my cheek.

aftermath @ Chonnie

Matt had left about ten minutes ago, and Bonnie had just found the strength to lift herself up off of her kitchen floor. Despite pleading with Chuck to stay away, he was coming home—and he would see what had just happened to her. Feeling embarrassed, angry, terrified, shocked. She didn’t want anyone to know. She wanted to hide. Tears still fell from her eyes as she slowly walked into the bathroom, wincing as she turned the light on and got a glimpse of her face—her left eye was swollen, already bruising, and her cheek was red, throbbing.

Bonnie choked out a sob at her appearance,  gripping the bathroom counter as she shut her eyes tightly. She deserved it, she felt. She had been such a bitch to him—but he had never been physical with her, not once. God, things between them were so poisonous. Bonnie wished she could hide. This was the very last thing she wanted Chuck to see.

Text @ Chuck

Bonnie: Why wouldn't I be okay, why is everyone asking me that? He's sleeping. I told Matt he was sleeping.
Chuck: Fine. I'll be home in ten. And when I get there I will find all the furniture in one piece, and everything just as I left it?
Bonnie: ...no. Chuck, please. Please.
